Terms and conditions

These terms apply to every order and every trade-in made through rephonestore.eu.

1. Who we are

Rephonestore is a trading name of RepairCentre Zarren, with its registered office at Stadenstraat 35, 8610 Zarren, Belgium. Company number BE 0000.000.000, VAT number BE 0000.000.000. You can reach us at info@rephonestore.eu, on +32 51 11 10 03, or by post at the address above. Our webshop is at rephonestore.eu.

Where these terms say 'we', we mean Rephonestore. Where they say 'you', we mean the customer. If you are a consumer, you are buying outside your professional activity; the rules on the right of withdrawal and the legal guarantee of conformity then apply to you in full. If you are buying as a business, article 18 sets out what is different.

2. What these terms apply to

These terms apply to every order in our webshop, to every device we buy in through our buy-back page, and to every contract that follows from either. You accept them when you place your order or your buy-back request.

A customer's own terms and conditions apply only if we have accepted them expressly and in writing. If any provision of these terms is void or unenforceable, the rest simply remains in force and we will replace that provision with a valid one that has as nearly as possible the same effect.

We may amend these terms. The version that applies to your order is always the one in force at the moment you ordered. The date at the bottom of this page tells you which version that is.

3. What we sell

We sell second-hand iPhones and iPads that we rebuild in our own workshop. Every device gets a new screen and a new housing, goes through thirty-two check points and only leaves the workshop once it meets all of them. There is therefore one finish: as new. You do not choose a condition, and there is no price difference based on signs of use.

The battery in every device has a capacity of at least eighty-five per cent of new. If a battery does not reach that, we replace it before dispatch.

A device that has once been opened cannot be guaranteed to keep its dust and water resistance. The original factory seal cannot be put back exactly as it was. We therefore do not state an IP rating, and we advise you to keep the device out of the rain and away from water, whatever the specification of the model says.

The images on the site show the type of device, not the individual unit you will receive. Colour and storage capacity are always stated in the product description and on the order confirmation; those details are binding, the image is not.

4. Prices and VAT

All prices are in euros and include VAT. Delivery within Belgium and the Netherlands is free; we do not deliver outside those countries.

On second-hand devices that we buy from private individuals, we apply the special margin scheme (Article 58 ยง4 of the Belgian VAT Code). Those invoices do not show a separate VAT amount, and that VAT is not deductible for a business. Devices that we bought in with an ordinary VAT invoice are sold with VAT that is shown separately on the invoice. Every invoice states which of the two applies.

A price stays valid for as long as it is shown on the site. If an obvious typing or system error puts a price dramatically out of line with the market, we are not obliged to deliver at that price; we will then contact you, and you will get a full refund if you decide not to go ahead with the order.

5. How the contract is formed

The offer on the site is an invitation to place an order. The contract is only formed at the moment we confirm your order by email.

We may refuse or limit an order, for example if a device is no longer in stock, if an earlier order has been left unpaid, or if there is well-founded suspicion of misuse. We will let you know within two working days and refund any amount already paid in full.

We keep your order confirmation on file. If you would like a copy, email us and we will send it on.

6. Payment

Orders are paid for in advance, using the payment methods offered at checkout. Your order is only prepared once we have received your payment.

Business customers can order on invoice by written agreement. The payment term is then thirty days from the invoice date. If payment is not made on time, statutory interest is due by operation of law and without any notice of default, plus fixed compensation of ten per cent of the outstanding amount with a minimum of forty euros.

7. Delivery, timing and risk

Orders paid for before four in the afternoon on a working day are dispatched the same day. Delivery in Belgium normally takes one working day, in the Netherlands one to two working days. All shipments are insured and delivered against signature.

In any event we deliver within thirty days of the contract being formed. If we cannot, you may cancel the contract free of charge and we will refund everything within fourteen days.

The risk of loss or damage passes at the moment you, or someone you have designated, physically takes possession of the parcel. If the parcel is visibly damaged, report this within seven days with photos; we will sort the rest out with the carrier.

If something is not right with the device delivered, let us know within seven days of receipt. That period does not limit your legal guarantee rights; it only helps us act faster.

8. Cooling-off period and right of withdrawal

As a consumer you have a statutory cooling-off period of fourteen calendar days, counted from the day after you receive the device. We give you thirty calendar days. You do not have to give a reason.

You notify us of your withdrawal within that period by email to info@rephonestore.eu, or with the model withdrawal form, which you can request from us. A clear notification by email is enough.

After notifying us, you send the device back within fourteen days. The return label is free; we cover the cost of returns within Belgium and the Netherlands.

The device goes back complete: with the cable, the SIM tool, the packaging and every accessory you ordered with it. Please turn Find My off and sign out of iCloud beforehand, otherwise we cannot check the device and your refund will be delayed.

You may try the device out as you would in a shop. If you go further than that and the device loses value as a result, we may deduct that loss in value. In practice this comes down to things like a drop, moisture damage, scratches or a part that has been removed.

We refund within fourteen days of receiving your notification, using the same payment method you paid with, unless you expressly agree otherwise. We may wait to refund until we have the device back, or until you show that you have sent it.

9. Legal guarantee of conformity

Every device carries the legal guarantee of conformity under Book 1 and Book 5 of the Belgian Civil Code and under Book VI of the Belgian Code of Economic Law. That guarantee runs for two years from delivery.

For second-hand goods, a seller is allowed to shorten that period to a minimum of one year. We do not do that. With us the full statutory period of two years applies, because we rebuild every device and are happy to stand behind it.

If a device turns out not to be in conformity, you are entitled to have it repaired or replaced. If neither is possible, or it does not happen within a reasonable time, you are entitled to an appropriate reduction in price or to rescission of the sale with a refund.

You always have these legal rights. Our own guarantee below comes on top of them and takes nothing away from them.

10. Our twenty-four-month guarantee

On top of the legal guarantee, we give a twenty-four-month commercial guarantee on the working of the device and on the battery, counted from the delivery date on your invoice.

By battery guarantee we mean this: if the maximum capacity drops below eighty per cent within twenty-four months under normal use, we replace the battery free of charge.

You report a guarantee claim by email, with your invoice number and a short description. We send you a free return label. We repair the device, or replace it with an equivalent unit if repair is not possible. If neither works, we refund you. Transport both ways is at our expense for a valid guarantee claim.

A repair or replacement does not extend the original guarantee period, but the repaired part carries a fresh three-month guarantee from the date of repair, where that period runs beyond the remaining guarantee.

11. What the guarantee does not cover

Drop damage, breakage, moisture and water damage, and any other damage that arises after delivery through use or an accident.

Damage or malfunction caused by a repair, opening or modification carried out by you or by a third party we have not appointed.

Normal wear that does not affect how the device works, and the gradual decline of battery capacity above eighty per cent.

Software problems that result from a jailbreak, from unofficial software, or from a setting you have changed.

Loss of data. Always make your own backup before you send a device in; we cannot keep or restore data.

Accessories are covered by the two-year legal guarantee, but not by our twenty-four-month commercial guarantee.

Devices whose serial number or IMEI number is unreadable or has been removed.

12. Accessories

Every device comes with a cable and a SIM tool in the box as standard. Other accessories you order alongside it, on the device's own page or on our accessories page.

Accessories you add to the same order travel in the same shipment, so you do not pay shipping costs twice. The same thirty-day right of withdrawal applies to accessories, provided that sealed packaging remains unopened.

Screen protection glass that we have fitted to your device cannot be taken back if you return the device; the fitting has then been used. In that case the price of the glass is not refunded, but the rest of your order is.

13. Buying your device

The price our calculator shows is an offer subject to inspection. It stays valid for fourteen days from your registration.

When you register the device you declare that you are its owner, or that you have the owner's permission to sell it, and that it is not reported stolen or lost. We check every device on IMEI and on the status of its network, iCloud and MDM locks.

Before sending, turn Find My off, sign out of iCloud and erase the device. We cannot process a device with an active lock and will return it to you free of charge.

If the condition of the device does not match what you stated, you will receive a new offer within two working days, with the reason for it. If you accept, we pay out that amount. If you do not accept, we return the device free of charge; we withhold nothing.

Once approved, we pay out within two working days to the account number you gave us. Ownership of the device passes at the moment of payment.

If a device turns out to have been reported stolen after we have bought it, we reserve the right to report this and to hold the device at the disposal of the police.

14. Liability

We are liable for damage that is the direct result of a fault on our side. Our liability is limited per order to the amount of that order, except in cases of intent, gross negligence, fraud, or damage to life or health; in those cases no limit applies.

We are not liable for indirect damage such as lost income, loss of data or missed opportunities.

This limitation takes nothing away from your rights as a consumer under the Belgian Code of Economic Law and the Belgian Civil Code.

15. Force majeure

If we cannot meet our obligations because of a circumstance beyond our control, such as a strike at the carrier, a network outage, a fire or a government measure, we suspend performance for as long as that situation lasts. If it lasts longer than thirty days, both you and we may end the contract free of charge and we will refund everything you had already paid.

16. Personal data

We process your data only in order to handle your order or the purchase of your device, to be able to provide guarantee cover, and to meet our accounting obligations. Exactly what we keep, for how long, and what rights you have is set out in our privacy statement.

We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising without your consent.

17. Complaints and disputes

If you have a complaint, please raise it with us first at info@rephonestore.eu. We reply within seven working days and would much rather resolve it ourselves.

If we cannot reach a solution together, as a consumer you can turn free of charge to the Consumer Mediation Service, Koning Albert II-laan 8 bus 1, 1000 Brussels, 02 702 52 00, contact@consumentenombudsdienst.be. That service mediates and, where necessary, refers the matter on to the competent body.

The European ODR platform closed on 20 July 2025 and is therefore no longer a route.

18. Applicable law and competent court

Belgian law applies to every contract with us.

If you are a consumer, you may always bring a dispute before the court of your own place of residence within the European Union, or before the courts of the judicial district of West Flanders, Veurne division.

If you are buying as a business, only the courts of the judicial district of West Flanders, Veurne division have jurisdiction, and the articles on the right of withdrawal and the consumer guarantee do not apply.

This version of the general terms and conditions applies from 13 September 2026 and replaces all earlier versions.
